These terms set out the basis on which Hallam & Co provides services to its clients.
Services
We provide accountancy, tax, bookkeeping and advisory services as agreed with each client.
The scope of our work will be confirmed in writing and may be updated from time to time.
Client responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
Providing complete and accurate information
Supplying information in a timely manner
Reviewing and approving documents before submission
We will rely on the information provided and cannot be held responsible for any errors arising from incomplete or incorrect information.
Fees and Payment
Our fees will be agreed in advance and may be charged:
On a fixed fee basis
On a monthly basis
Or based on time spent
Invoices are payable in accordance with the agreed terms set out at the start of the engagement.
We reserve the right to suspend services and withhold submission of work where payment is not received in line with these terms.
Confidentiality
We will keep all client information confidential, except where disclosure is required by law or regulation.
Data protection
We will process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Limitation of liability
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for:
Any indirect or consequential losses
Losses arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client
Our total liability shall be limited to the fees paid for the services provided.
Third parties
Our advice is provided solely for the use of our client and should not be relied upon by third parties without our written consent.
Regulatory requirements
We are required to comply with anti-money laundering regulations and may request identification documents where necessary.
Termination
Either party may terminate the engagement at any time by providing written notice.
Any outstanding fees for work completed up to the date of termination will remain payable.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will be available on our website.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
